Ravel's Piano Concerto for LH

  1. Mangled musicians of the world unite!

    (SG: in my dreams, maybe)

  2. As of course you know, Ludwig's older brother Paul Wittgenstein lost his right arm in the first world war, and became a noted left-handed pianist. Wittgenstein commissioned a number of pieces for the left hand from well known composers, and I believe this was one of them.

BTW, my guitar teacher tells me that Ravel's famous "Bolero" was originally a composition exercise, not intended as a piece of music.
