Nice to hear a clear-headed answer to the canard that "they paid most of it back, so no problem!" Maybe the taxpayers should send a retroactive bill for insurance services to the banks and financial lizards (I mean wizards; sorry, Gordon Gekko). The amount could be exactly the size of the military budget, plus ongoing pension and medical costs for past and current wars, so the people for whose benefit the wars are actually fought would pay the full cost.
Best idea I've heard in a long time. We could even borrow our masters' battle cry: "support the troops!"
