"Public Option" Never Really an Option

(We're not really opposed to progressive taxation -- we simply take good, old-fashioned American pride in giving it all away to the super-rich and super-powerful. They're "our kind of people," after all, the people we most admire and hope someday to become.)

But it's not like we weren't warned centuries ago:
